The Origen Montserrat market, which began in June to showcase the products of the Montserrat Rural Park, has established itself as the region's premier gastronomic event. Organised by the Montserrat Rural Park with support from the Diputació de Barcelona, the market is held monthly in Olesa and is expanded four times a year to mark the changing seasons. During these special events, El Bruc also joins the celebration, turning Origen Montserrat into a notable gastronomic hub. The market features a range of activities designed to enhance the shopping experience and visitor satisfaction. The next celebration will take place in Olesa de Montserrat on Saturday, October 1st, and in El Bruc on Sunday, October 9th, to welcome the autumn season. The Olesa market will coincide with the Fiesta de los Miquelets, one of the most significant festivals in the municipality.
Both fairs will feature various stalls offering local products from farmers and ranchers in the Montserrat Rural Park, along with activities to enrich the visit. In addition to purchasing vegetables, fruits, cheeses, cottage cheese, honey, olive oil, and beef, visitors can participate in workshops on origami, drawing, ointments, and face painting, take part in a scavenger hunt around the market stalls, enjoy storytelling, and watch a live cooking demonstration with Km 0 products. They will also be able to view the Montserrat Rural Park's travelling photographic exhibition and enter a draw for a selection of regional gastronomic products.
