Catalan administrations join forces to promote local food policies
The 'Feeding Barcelona' conference brings together over 200 participants, mainly councillors and technical staff from municipalities and other local authorities in the province.
Yesterday, the Barcelona Provincial Council hosted a landmark conference on municipal food policies.
The new microcourses, which are in-person and completely free, are aimed at both young people looking to enter the agricultural sector and active farmers interested in transitioning to organic farming.
The action envisages the reintroduction of livestock farming in new 160 hectares that are spread over fourteen farms in Berguedà, Moianès and Osona.

The event will take place on Sunday, 3rd October from 10:00 to 13:00, with participation from theLower Llobregat Agrarian Park and the Camp de Tarragona.
Of these, five facilities have been created within the framework of the BCN Smart Rural, an intelligent agrarian development project promoted by the Barcelona Provincial Council with co-financing from the European Union's FEDER funds.
Installed in a truck, it will debut in September and will serve sheep and goat farmers in Bages, Berguedà, Moianès, and Osona.
