The Barcelona Provincial Council, in collaboration with BCN Smart Rural, a European project with FEDER funding, has organized a meeting of competitive creativity focused on the challenges of the agri-food sector in the Òdena Basin. This territory, located in the county of Anoia, stands out for its agricultural diversity and a transitional landscape between the Penedès vineyards, the Baix Llobregat plains, the Montserrat mountain and the Bages plains.
The session, which will be held online on January 25, aims to identify the main concerns of the municipalities of the Ódena Basin about their agri-food sector. Among the guests are the Anoia County Council, the municipalities that promote the Conca d'Òdena Agricultural Park and members of local organizations and associations such as the Eixarcolant Collective and Salvem Can Titó.
The session will be divided into two dynamics: the first will focus on identifying the agri-food issues that are of most concern in the territory and about which there is a lack of information; the second, by collecting, grouping and prioritizing the most useful and interesting data for the development of specific actions in these municipalities.
This meeting will provide a crucial opportunity for participants to reflect and contribute to the future BCN Smart Rural Observatory, favouring the sustainable and informed management of agri-food resources in this specific area.
