BCN Smart Rural Press Digest – From 3rd November 2022 to 4th January 2023

Introducing the publication 'Feeding Barcelona' is one of the highlights in the new BCN Smart Rural Press Digest.

The Barcelona Provincial Council is proud to present 'Feeding Barcelona', a one-of-a-kind publication in the world.

Last November, Barcelona Provincial Council threw open the doors of Can Comas, the headquarters of Lower Llobregat Agrarian Park, to host the presentation of a unique publication in the world. It is entitled 'Feeding Barcelona', it is in digital format and it is the first practical guide published by a public administration with the aim of promoting local food strategies.

With photographs by Patxi Uriz and a fresh and innovative design, the publication proposes a road map to help local bodies that wish to supply their population with local products.

Barcelona Provincial Council coordinates a European Union Life project called Agro For Adapt that aims to improve adaptation to climate change in agricultural and forestry areas. Among its actions, the opening of wooded areas so that the herds can enter to graze stands out.
